Doula Service
As a birth doula Jessica takes time prenatally to get to know the expectant parents and supports them in creating their own positive childbirth experience. During labor and birth Jessica is with the expectant couple throughout the process providing continuity of care, nurturing 
support for both mother and father in the home and/or hospital, and acting as an informational liaison and advocate in a hospital setting.
In addition to supporting couples for childbirth, Jessica takes considerable time discussing the transition of birth and new family-hood and preparing for the postpartum weeks. She meets with her clients postpartum, to integrate the childbirth experience, answer initial questions, offer resources, discuss how things are going in the first month and to help settle into comfort amidst the challenges of new parenthood.
Jessica is part of a larger birth community in Los Angeles and is able to provide recommendations for any further support that may be required.
