Pregnancy is a time during which a woman's body goes through rapid change as it grows a baby, preparing for childbirth and the new life of both baby and mother.  The experience is usually filled with a combination of joy, transformation, overwhelm, ease, occasional discomfort, unfamiliar feelings, and much more. Consultations are appropriate for anyone with questions about pregnancy, childbirth, care providers and the different choices available for pregnancy and birth care.  For some it is a first baby, and they are interested in learning about how to find and create the care for a positive and healthy experience. Others have had experiences with pregnancy or prior births that left them with questions.  These sessions allow time for you to talk about your personal experiences and circumstances and how to best address them. For clients who are thinking about conceiving, already pregnant, or postpartum. Sessions can take place in person or on the phone for those outside of Los Angeles.

Private childbirth preparation classes provide thorough information on the science of childbirth while recognizing the significant personal and emotional transition of pregnancy, childbirth, and new parenthood. The private setting allows your personal questions and needs to be met in the comfort and privacy of your home. Topics covered include:

• Prenatal phone support. Jessica is available throughout your pregnancy for questions and concerns that may arise.
• Guidance for communicating with your doctor or midwife - help understanding medical terminology

• Continuous support throughout your labor and birth, and for the first hour or two postpartum.
